COURSE OVERVIEW:
This is a course for those dentists that want to serve the difficult patient. The course is problem based presenting solutions for the challenging edentulous patient. The course will be unique and will present digitally-based clinical techniques that addresses the complex edentulous patient.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- What the patient should (and should not) expect from removable complete dentures
- Trial and branching denture techniques
- Evaluating the old denture
- Cast analysis
- Soft tissue preparation
- Alveolplasty and hard tissue preparation
- Dealing with the medically compromised patient
- Denture prosthetics for the patient with TMD
- Developing esthetics for the esthetically critical patient
- Advanced occlusal concepts
- The balanced denture
- Dealing with the gagging patient
- Dealing with complex complications
Upon completion participants will:
- Develop the diagnostic and treatment planning skills required to provide advanced denture services
- Provide the clinical techniques required to provide care for the difficult denture patient
